Dorchester has been an active investor in East London since 1997. Investments include both new build and second hand property and we still have interests within several hundred units as part of our investment portfolios.
The most recent acquisition in 2012/3 was 115 units at Wick Lane adjacent to the Olympic Park in Stratford.
We continue to be very active in sourcing investment and redevelopment opportunities in this area using our significant knowledge of the market within the continuing backdrop of the expansion of the City of London/Canary Wharf and infrastructure improvements brought about by the Olympics.
Dorchester has been a leading developer in North London over a number of years. In this location we have focused on the "empty nester" market where often affluent homeowners are seeking to purchase luxury apartments for their retirement. Many of these blocks have been built in-house and represent smaller "in fill" sites which need creative design to fit into the mature surrounding areas.
We continue to focus on North London land opportunities though generally now on larger individual site acquisitions.
